The president recalled that the Pridnestrovian economy could boast many successful examples of both domestic and foreign investments. A number of enterprises of the agro-industrial complex and footwear industry operate thanks to foreign investors. Speaking about whether Pridnestrovie's unrecognised status will become an obstacle to attracting foreign investment, Vadim Krasnoselsky said: "We live in an unstable world. Unfortunately, it is not calm in neighbouring states as well. If we show our stability, including of the legislative base, we will be attractive to the investor."
Having stated that to date a significant part of Pridnestrovian exports goes to Europe, the president stressed the strategic importance for our country of the Russian market and the markets of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union as a whole. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that Pridnestrovian products were traditionally in great demand with the Russian consumer. "It should be understood that Pridnestrovian businessmen do not see the European market as a principled goal. The entrepreneur chooses the most profitable markets. We traditionally stand for the balance of exports to Europe and Russia," stressed the president. He added that the country's leadership continued to cooperate actively with Russian colleagues to make it easier for economic agents of Pridnestrovie to access the Russian market. At the same time, the country is interested in increasing the number and variety of economic ties in various directions, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted.
