Tiraspol, 14 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A delegation headed by Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office for the Moldo-Pridnestrovian settlement Franco Frattini will visit Pridnestrovieon 27 March. This became known at the end of today's meeting of President Vadim Krasnoselsky with Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev.
The Italian diplomat had confirmed his intention to visit Pridnestrovie and Moldova in March or early April in an interview with the RT TV channel. Frattini also said back then that Italy saw the achievement of concrete results in the process of settling the Moldo-Pridnesstrovian relations among the priorities of its OSCE chairmanship.
"I think that Italy as OSCE chairman has outlined a number of important tasks for itself, including the opportunity to achieve concrete results. Because we are sure that if both Pridnestrovie and Moldova show goodwill, it will be possible to obtain visible results in certain areas. I will give you a few examples: we are pretty close to an agreement on how to give neutral status to automobile license plates and enable vehicles registered in Pridnestrovie to freely participate in international road traffic," said Franco Frattini.
As Novosti Pridnestrovya has already reported, Franco Frattini paid an unofficial visit to Moscow on 26 February, where before delivering a public lecture at the Diplomatic Academy, he gave an exclusive interview to the RT channel and met Russia's foreign minister Sergey Lavrov.
