Vadim Krasnoselsky meets with Ukrainian Special Envoy for Moldo-Pridnestrovian Settlement

Pridnestrovie's President discussed the negotiation process with Victor Kryzhanovsky

Tiraspol, January 26. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovie's president met with the Ukrainian Special Envoy for Moldo-Pridnestrovian Settlement Victor Kryzhanovsky. The delegation from Ukraine visited Pridnestrovie to discuss the last year's negotiation results with the leaders of the republic and to draw up plans for the current year

"We worked well last year. I am glad that the end of the year was so productive. Everybody noted effectiveness of the work and readiness to solve the concrete issues. I hope that this year there will be positive breakthroughs in solution of practical issues," the Ukrainian diplomat noted.

In turn, Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed readiness to discuss the agreements of 2017 and also the problems which had to be solved at a negotiating table emphasizing that it was about the issues affecting the interests of the citizens.

The president declared commitment of Pridnestrovie to constructive and meaningful dialogue and also emphasized the fact that the Pridnestrovie's side made considerable efforts to reach compromise. The president reminded that at the end of 2016 – the beginning of the last year he mapped out five directions requiring urgent decision-making in settlement of the burning issues.

Despite some sloth-like pace of the Moldova's negotiators and 'hesitation' of the Austrian Presidency in the OSCE, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized serious progress in this area. According to him, it is necessary to do everything possible for implementation of the reached agreements, and the discussion of these issues is in the course of technical refinement at the moment.

During the meeting, the sides also discussed the topical issues concerning the relations between Pridnestrovie and Ukraine and mapped out plans for the future.

At the end of the meeting, the sides supported continuation of the regular dialogue on all range of issues of mutual interest, the Presidential Press Service reports.
