Vitaly Ignatyev met with the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian MFA Sergey Gubarev

The current situation in negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova became the key topic of the discussion

Tiraspol, January 22. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The meeting between the head of the Pridnestrovie's diplomatic service Vitaly Ignatyev and the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian MFA Sergey Gubarev was held in Moscow. The Ambassador-at-Large in the rank of the Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Ruslan Slobodenyuk also participated in the meeting.

The current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova became the key topic of the discussion, the Press Service of the Pridnestrovie's Foreign Ministry reports. Specifically, the sides pointed out the need of substantive work of the sides on implementation of the agreements including the Vienna protocol reached in the end of the year.

According to the participants of the meeting, consistent work on implementation of the signed agreements will provide constructive and consistent dialogue. The importance of creation of a guaranteeing mechanism for performance of negotiation obligations within a year was highlighted during the discussion.

In furtherance of the dialogue, the sides also discussed the key aspects of the negotiation agenda in 2018. The sides hoped that the Italy's OSCE Chairmanship would follow the approaches established by the principles and the procedures of the negotiation process in organization of the meetings at the level of "The Constant Meeting …", and the meetings of the international advisory '5+2' format themselves would be smooth and substantive.

Diplomats paid special attention to the development of Russian-Pridnestrovian cooperation in all relevant directions. The sides confirmed readiness for maintenance of contacts on the issues of mutual interest.
