Vitaly Ignatyev meets Sergey Gubarev in Moscow

Pridnestrovie's foreign minister and Russia's ambassador at large discussed the negotiating process with Moldova

Tiraspol, 17 October. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. As part of the working visit to Moscow, the foreign minister of the PMR, Vitaly Ignatyev, met Russia's ambassador at large Sergey Gubarev. The meeting was also attended by the deputy head of the Second CIS Department of the Russian MFA, Vitaly Tryapitsin, the press service of the Pridnestrovian MFA reports.

As a follow-up to the discussions held during Gubarev's visit to Tiraspol on 10 October, the interlocutors continued to discuss a number of relevant aspects of the current situation in the negotiating process with Moldova.

Particular attention was given to finding mutually acceptable solutions to the issues reflected in the Berlin Protocol, as well as the status of the dialogue at the level of expert (working) groups from Pridnestrovie and Moldova.

"Special emphasis was placed during the meeting on a number of new initiatives of the Pridnestrovian side aimed at the overall 'improvement' of the negotiating process," says the statement.

The sides expressed the need for an early resumption of the "Permanent conference..." international format, as well as for intensified steps to reach practical arrangements between the sides in the socio-economic and humanitarian spheres.
