President of PMR: All decisions made by Chisinau lead to the conflict escalation

Vadim Krasnoselsky said that as long as there were peacekeepers, there wouldn't be any war on the Dniester

Tiraspol, August 3. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. All decisions of the Moldova's authorities on Pridnestrovie lead to the conflict escalation, the Pridnestrovie's President Vadim Krasnoselsky said in the interview to Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

«The Moldova's constitutional court decided that the peacekeeping forces of Russia had to to leave Pridnestrovie. It also demanded the Moldova's authorities to resolve the issue involving any political and diplomatic measures, up to military ones. Then, there was a decision of the Moldova's parliament to change the Russian military presence for a civil mission," Krasnoselsky told.

He noted that the Constitutional Court of RM hadn't made any conclusions on the Russian presence in Pridnestrovie until then.

«Decision of the Constitutional court is a law which is not disputed, and all officials of Moldova have to abide by it. Generally speaking, Chisinau has burned all bridges by the decision of the constitutional court. There haven't been such verdicts before," the president told.

«Put bluntly, all decisions made by Chisinau lead to the conflict escalation. But as long as there are peacekeepers, there won't be any war on the Dniester. I am firmly convinced of it. For this reason, we support preservation of the peacekeeping mission," Krasnoselsky emphasized.
