Tiraspol, August 2. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. As it was previously reported, the Pridnestrovian president Vadim Krasnoselsky met with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, the Russian President's envoy for Pridnestrovie Dmitry Rogozin.
«First of all, we touched upon the negotiation format, our relations with Moldova, and once again noted that it had to continue the negotiation process, despite all its cifficulties: in the 5+2 format, in the 1+1 format and so on. There is a mass of unresolved problems. And we agreed that there was no time to raise political issues, but to resolve those issues influencing the lives of ordinary people: economic, humanitarian, cultural issues," Vadim Krasnoselsky noted.
According to him, Pridnestrovie moves in this direction and the republic has already resolved a number of problems.
«There's a lot of problems: a communication problem, an issue concerning the registration plates, a problem concerning the recognition of documents, blockade of the Slobodka Customs Station. At the end, it was noted that all issues had to be resolved only at the negotiating table," the president emphasized.
There was a special focus on installation of the Moldovan customs control stations in the Ukrainian territory.
«It was noted that those stations violated the rights of the citizens living in the territory of Pridnestrovie, and first of all the Russian citizens, the Ukrainian citizens who hadn't Moldovan passports. It is not appropriate. Wrong the fact that the decision is made ignoring the Tiraspol's opinion," Krasnoselsky told and reminded that those decisions did also economic harm to the PMR.
Another discussion topic was preservation of the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester.
«Dmitry Olegovich said that the peacekeeping operation had to be preserved as the most effective format of peacemaking in the region. Not a single peacekeeper has been killed in 25 years of the peacekeeping operation. Not only peacekeepers of Russia, but also the peacekeepers of Pridnestrovie and Moldova — the former opposing forces — take part in this peacekeeping operation. This format has proved its efficiency throughout the years. It mustn't be removed, but it is rather to be used," the head of state told.
It was specially emphasized that the decisions of the constitutional court and the Moldovan parliament about the replacement of the peacekeeping element were very dangerous.
«We stand for preservation of the peacekeeping format, we stand for peace on the Dniester. Pridnestrovie is a peaceful state which wants to live in peace with its neighbors: both with Moldova and with Ukraine — and the peacekeepers help in it, that is in preservation of peace on the Dniester," the president noted.
He also specified that despite the decision of Chisinau to declare Rogozin persona non grata communications of the Deputy Prime Minister wouldn't be disrupted and the help would reach Pridnestrovie, including the economic support.
«The Russian Federation has always supported Pridnestrovie to any extent and this support will be rendered further," Krasnoselsky concluded.
