Tiraspol, 4 July. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The State Customs Committee of the PMR (SCC) is planning to introduce a full-fledged system of electronic declaration of goods before the end of 2017, the head of the SCC, Vitaly Nyagu, said at a meeting of the Public Council on Customs Policy.
«Our economic agents, in particular exporters, will be able to submit e-declarations, and all customs procedures related to inspection will be carried out directly at a customs checkpoint; that is, the cargo will be delivered there. This will allow them to avoid extra paperwork, reduce processing time and simplify logistics," he noted.
The e-system will be launched in a test mode in September.
«In August we'll ask our exporting enterprises and those willing to assist us to take part in the testing. We'll start this work in September," added the first deputy of the SCC chairman, Alexey Lipovtsev.
Pridnestrovian economic agents have had the possibility of submitting e-declarations since 2011 but it does not work in full so far — verification is still required.
