Tiraspol, 22 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovie can help Russian business to enter the EU market, the minister of economic development, Sergey Obolonik, said in an interview with Russia's Komsomolskaya Pravda daily. He is now in Novosibirsk, taking part in the International Technological Forum Tekhnoprom 2017.
The Pridnestrovian delegation has come to the forum at the personal invitation of Russia's vice premier Dmitry Rogozin. In the interview, Obolonik told about the conditions in which Pridnestrovie's economy was developing.
«We are very much squeezed now because Ukraine is not very friendly to us now. A blockade control ring is being organised be means of synchronised activities by Moldova and Ukraine. The facts, unfortunately, show a negative development of this relationship," said Obolonik.
«Pridnestrovie needs investors and market outlets, including in Novosibirsk," stressed Obolonik, adding that the country had the high-tech mechanical engineering industry that needs development.
«Being in tough conditions, we understand that it is impossible to maintain competitive advantages in markets and future prospects without innovation. We are well aware that innovation and participation in the new industrial revolution is what we should take part in," the minister explained.
Answering journalists' questions about what Pridnestrovie can offer Russian investors, Sergey Obolonik noted that the country had a serious experience in trading with EU countries. «We are ready to share it," underscored the minister.
«It is perhaps more efficient to enter the EU market, using Pridnestrovie as a support base. Given the sanction policy of the EU and the Western world against Russia, this is an opportunity to operate effectively in those markets that are now closed fro Russians. I think that businessmen, who are ambitious, have a wide outlook and are going to make their business international, in fact, can take advantage of our venue," said Sergey Obolonik.
He also told about the government's work to attract investors. According to the minister, a system of preferences and guarantees are being developed now. «The main objective is to remove the risks that investors may face in Pridnestrovie. In turn, the country can offer a transparent tax policy and stable energy tariffs," concluded the minister.
