Tiraspol, 23 May. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Ukraine's support for Moldova's plans to unilaterally establish joint customs and border control at the Pridnestrovian border, as well as Kiev's decision to put a ban on the transit of food to Pridnestrovie, is caused to provoke another round of conflict, the Russian political expert and TV host, Dmitry Kulikov, said in an interview with Novosti Pridnestrovya.
«The goal of these actions is very simple. They are provoking conflict on all fronts. The Ukrainian authorities are unlikely to survive today outside the conflict's growth. Therefore, their only way to survive is to provoke conflicts on all fronts: both against Russia and against Pridnestrovie as its direct ally," the Russian expert says.
According to Kulikov, such «conduct» of Ukraine cannot pass unnoticed by Russia as a guarantor of the negotiating process, and a stern response is sure to follow.
«Russia will deal with this issue; nobody is going to abandon Pridnestrovie," underscored the expert. Commenting, in the meantime, on the Constitutional Court of Moldova's decision equating the Russian peacekeepers with occupying forces, Kulikov noted that Moldova and Ukraine were synchronously creating tension.
«The decision on the peacekeepers also aims to cause tension. This is also Moldova's domestic scenario. There are two fundamentally different strategic lines in Moldova. One is linked with the new president, Dodon, and another with the traditional Moldovan Eurointegrators sitting in the parliament. This decision is aimed at provoking, escalating and intensifying a conflict. In this regard, they are acting simultaneously with Mr Proshenko," Kulikov believes.
