The Pridnestrovie's delegation has returned to the issue concerning the replacement of the peacekeepers' cabin at the 9th left post again. Also, they have continued the discussion of the joint exercises of peacekeepers. As the JCC cochairman from Pridnestrovie Oleg Belyakov has noted in the interview to our reporter, the parties still have disagreements on this issue.
«Dialogue is rather difficult. But the consensus principle being one of the pillars of the Joint Control Commission makes the sides agree. And we have the issues where we have to reach an agreement," Belyakov has told.
Oleg Belyakov has told that accommodation of the Russian peacekeepers in the territory of the Joint Headquarters of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces is one of the important and topical issues considered by the Joint Control Commission. According to the JCC's solution, the Russian battalion should be set apart from the headquarters, because the forces carry out one task, and the headquarters — another.
«We see again that there is no certain understanding in this issue, however the Pridnestrovian side is ready to take a serious step — to remove the detachment from Chisinau St., 119 and to help the Moldovan side in creation of infrastructure in the territory of headquarters, but we don't find a certain common ground. Is that some certain position? Or an element for the further discussion? I think, it is both," the cochairman has emphasized.
At the same time, the situation in the Security Zone remains stable and controllable.
