Tiraspol, 30 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The problem of the use of land by Moldovan farmers in Dubossary region will be discussed by the heads of district administrations. This agreement was reached during today's meeting in Holercani between presidents Vadim Krasnoselsky and Igor Dodon.
«The land use issue is an acute problem. It has been constantly politicised by Moldova. We have done our best to ease the tension, and in order to bring the matter to a definitive conclusion, we have shifted the settlement of this issue on the heads of local administrations in Dubossary district," said Vadim Krasnoselsky during a briefing that was held in Tiraspol after the meeting.
It should be noted that despite the fact that Dubossary is located in Pridnestrovie, Moldova also has an administrative unit called Dubossary district.
According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, Pridnestrovie's stance is that obstacles should not be put in the way of the working farmers. «People must work, cultivate the land. When politicians begin to interfere in land issues, it is probably wrong… I think we should avoid politicising this issue and let people work," said the Pridnestrovian president.
The president discussed other problems as well. Among them is the issue of Romanian-language schools in Pridnestrovie. According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, the country's leadership is not going to interfere with their work, but the educational institutions must be registered so that oversight bodies can control whether the conditions in which children study meet basic security requirements.
