Tiraspol, 1 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. President Krasnoselsky has held a meeting with foreign minister Vitaly Ignatyev, the presidential press service reports. Vitaly Ignatyev regards the plans by Moldova and Ukraine to establish a joint customs and border control at the Kuchurgan crossing point as the gravest systemic challenge facing the republic today.

«The realisation of these plans will result in enormous costs for the Pridnestrovian economy. Besides, this will seriously undermine the negotiating process and create insuperable obstacles for further normal work in line with a constructive dialogue, understanding and a search for a compromise," the minister believes.

«Unilateral actions taken by the Moldovan side seem very dangerous and do not inspire optimism. We have to use all our resources to counter the establishment of these posts, to do all we can. We have to turn to the guarantors and mediators, provide them with information on the risks and losses the Pridnestrovian economy may incur. There are problems, but we do not create them — we are trying to solve them. Any dialogue must have a mutual constructive concept. We are ready for it. And we expect the same from our partners, from the Moldovan side," underscored Vadim Krasnoselsky.
