«Despite the fact these meetings are largely introductory, significant issues are nevertheless raised during them. Besides, aspects which are constantly lobbied by the Moldovan side are discussed. I'd like to know your position and enlist your support," noted Vadim Krasnoselsky during the meeting with representatives of the Russian delegation led by Sergey Gubarev.
The diplomat, in turn, said he was glad to visit Tiraspol again, where he feels quite at home. «I am glad the pause has been overcome. Speaking about Russia's position, Sergey Gubarev emphasised its immutability. He recalled the recent statement by Vladimir Putin that Russia meets and will meet the commitments of a mediator in settling Moldo-Pridnestro
«We are in favour of continuing the negotiating process, no matter how difficult it might be, and for maintaining the 5+2 platform," Vadim Krasnoselsky assured the Russian guests.
