Tiraspol, 10 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Gazprom's deputy chairman of board Valery Golubev highly praised the work of Pridnestrovian gas labourers.
«They fulfil their functions, ensuring gas transit. 18.5 billion cubic metres going to the Balkans is a considerable component of Gazprom's economic activities. This applies to relations with the entire southern wing of Europe. And in this regard, we are grateful to the people who ensure this work. Steady energy supplies to Pridnestrovie is equally important for us," underscored the Russian guest during his meeting with President Krasnoselsky today.
As the presidential press service reports, in addition to the head of state, the meeting was also attended by First President of the PMR Igor Smirnov, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, Minister of Economic Development Sergey Obolonik, Minister of Industry and Regional Development Nikolay Gliga and Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatyev.
Valery Golubev noted that the visit was scheduled for February as the management of the Russian company wanted new bodies of power to be formed in Pridnestrovie after the December election. According to Golubev, Russia's stance on Pridnestrovie remains unaltered.
«We have been friends, we are friends and we will remain friends for a long time, despite the changes taking place in Europe and in the world," he noted.
After the general Russo-Pridnestrovian meeting, Vadim Krasnoselsky and Valery Golubev continued the dialogue tête-à-tête.
