Tiraspol, 31 January. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. It will become easier since March for Pridnestrovian enterprises to sell their goods to the Russian market, said the chairman of the government, Alexander Martynov, during today's meeting of the Supreme Council's presidium.
According to the prime minister, the corresponding agreements were reached in the course of the visit of the governmental delegation to Moscow.
Alexander Martynov said that the problems of access of Pridnestrovian goods to the Russian market and increasing their competitiveness were discussed during the meetings that took place in the ministries of economic development, industry and trade, and in the Federal Customs Service.
«These problems include import duties, VAT, high-risk criteria, which are still applied to Pridnestrovian goods, as well as extra paperwork and customs support," said Alexander Martynov.
According to the prime minister, increasing Russia's share in the total volume of exports is a very important issue for Pridnestrovie as most of the Pridnestrovian goods are sold to Moldova and the EU, with only 8% accounting for Russia.
«It is quite a serious challenge for us not only in economic terms but also in terms of security," underscored the prime minister.
Alexander Martynov noted that the Moscow negotiations had resulted in a number of agreements signed with Russia's customs agency and ministry of economic development, which would make it easier for Pridnestrovian manufacturers to export their products to Russia.
«We expect these agreements to start work soon, sometime by March, in other words, the export of Pridnestrovian goods to the Russian market will simplify," concluded the prime minister.
The press service of the State Customs Committee of the PMR (SCC) earlier reported that following the meeting of the head of the Pridnestrovian customs, Vaitaly Nyagy, with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Bulavin, it was decided to coordinate a draft of technical requirements for the exchange of preliminary information about the movement of goods and vehicles between Russia and Pridnestrovie in compliance with the corresponding protocol signed between the SCC and Russia's customs service.
