Tiraspol, 13 January. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The chairman of the government, Alexander Martynov, has met Russia's ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary, Farit Mukhametshin.
The sides discussed the current socio-economic situation in Pridnestrovie, as well as a number of steps aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, the press service of the government of the PMR reports.
On welcoming the high-ranking guest, the prime minister noted that among the priority directions for development of the Pridnestrovian economy particular emphasis was placed on increased cooperation with the Russian Federation.
He recalled that during his visit to the republic in the summer of 2016 the deputy vice premier of Russia and presidential envoy on Pridnestrovie, Dmitry Rogozin, gave guidance to develop relations with Russian regions.
«We have already achieved positive results, in particular, in Kaluga Oblast. We are planning to continue work in this direction," said Alexander Martynov. He also announced the visit of the Pridnestrovian governmental delegation to Moscow, which is scheduled for late January, during which it is planned to hold a number of meetings with representatives of ministries, public organisations and trade unions, the Audit Chamber and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
«We'd like to employ the experience of the Russian Federation in developing roadmaps to improve the business environment and support exports. We appreciate the opinion of Russian specialists on which is a better way of implementing it here," added the prime minister.
