Tiraspol, 11 December. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. During today's press conference held at the Central Election Commission (CEC), Russian observers, representing a State Duma delegation, noted a high voter turnout in the presidential election.
Since early morning today they have been visiting polling stations. They also monitored preparation and opening procedures. Voting is currently under way with commission members working properly at all stations visited by Russian observers. No remarks have been made by them so far.
«We note a high turnout and active participation. The election is properly organised. There are some minor violations, but they do not affect the voting process. All the necessary conditions have been created," said the first deputy chairman of Russia's State Duma committee for CIS affairs, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots, Kazbek Taysayev.
