Tiraspol, 26 November. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. «Instead of responsibly fulfilling international commitments embodied in the Berlin protocol of 3 June 2016 and steadily enhancing people's lives, our Moldovan colleagues have been engaged for nearly half a year in all sorts of performances — from statements about certain 'red lines' in negotiations inspired by the so-called 'independent' public society of Moldova to simply proposing impracticable projects on resonant issues," said the Pridnestrovian foreign minister, Vitaly Ignatyev, commenting on the international conference Pridnestrovian Settlement: Quo Vadis that recently took place in Kishinev
As reported by the Newsmaker. md news agency, the conference was organised by Moldova's Foreign Policy Association with the support of the German Marshal Fund. Moldovan officials, local and foreign pundits and diplomats taking part in the event expressed various positions and recommendations to solve the conflict. Tiraspol representatives in the meantime did not participate in the discussion.
Vitaly Ignatyev underscored that against this backdrop three official initiatives by Pridenstrovie calling for an early meeting of the «Permanent conference…» had been left without due attention by some 5+2 format participants.
«Problems are not being solved, while pressure on Pridnestrovie and various blockade restrictions against our citizens are growing like a snowball," said the chief diplomat.
«Looking at these expert gatherings, which have recently become regular, a simple and clear proposal comes to mind: dear colleagues, in order to help to solve the long-standing problems of people after all and thus form the notorious 'confidence', you'd better work substantively and consistently within the existing international negotiating venues," Ignatiev wrote on his Facebook page.
