Rogozin: Probably, we shouldn't expect fast recovery of the economic situation which has developed in recent years

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation proposed a recovery recipe for the Pridnestrovie's economy

Tiraspol, October 11. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. During the meeting in Tiraspol with the head of the republic Yevgeny Shevchuk, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - the Russian President's Envoy to Pridnestrovie Dmitry Rogozin particularly focused on the situation in Pridnestrovie's economy and opportunities of further development of the Russian-Pridnestrovian economic relations.

According to the Russian deputy PM, the difficult foreign policy situation influencing economies of both Russia and PMR, probably, won't change in the nearest future. "The situation is in stagnation, probably, we shouldn't expect of fast recovery of the economic situation which has developed in the recent years. We don't expect immediate raising of sanctions, it doesn't make sense to expect some miracles in Ukraine, so that everyone there will suddenly understand where they are falling. I don't believe in it, and, unfortunately, this problem will remain for a long time," Rogozin told.

At the same time, the Russian guest noted commenting on the desirable line of relationship between the Russian Federation and the PMR that the main principle 'not to give fish, but to give a fishing rod' still remains in order that there was "an opportunity for the republic to earn itself not only for living, but also for long-term prospect".

"Of course, it is the melioration project, it should be developed and implemented. There are hardworking people and fertile land. If the republic subsists itself, it is half the battle already. The second is, of course, maintenance of industrial capacity of the republic in order that it didn't degrade at least. Though, naturally, there is aging process, obsolescence of the equipment inherited from the Soviet period. But it's very important pass through this period of difficult fight against economic isolation and sanctions. And everyone should understand it. This period is rather long, difficult, but inevitable, it it is just should be passed through," the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia noted.

Dmitry Rogozin has emphasized interest of Russia in industrial orders of the Russian Federation in Pridnestrovie. "Let's look once again what can be made from the point of view of the Russian market as well as where the Pridnestrovie's industry can tie with the Russian interests and have such profitability which could offset the losses on cargo delivery connected with the repeated problems with Ukraine and other obstacles," Dmitry Rogozin noted.
