Tiraspol, September 27. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovie's Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatyev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA in the RM James Pettit in the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Press Service of the Pridnestrovie's Foreign Ministry reports.
Within the meeting, the sides exchanged their views on a number of urgent issues of the current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. In particular, Vitaly Ignatyev Vitaly Ignatyev placed greater focus on the problem of railway import to Pridnestrovie and represented an opinion of the Pridnestrovie's side on the possible ways of resolution of the current situation. The minister emphasized seriousness of the problem caused by the unilateral actions of Moldova and Ukraine and also emphasized that efforts of all international participants of the negotiation process were necessary for her settlement of the conflict. According to the Foreign Minister, at the current stage the most rational way is to discuss the situation within the «Constant Meeting …» in the 5+2 format. Pridnestrovie's side already advanced an initiative of carrying out such meeting in August of the current year.
During the meeting, the sides discussed a number of other urgent issues in the relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova including the plans of Moldova and Ukraine to establish joint customs border control at the Kuchurgan Checkpoint. In this context, Vitaly Ignatyev confirmed firmness of the Pridnestrovie's side on the issue concerning inadmissibility of implementation of this destructive unilateral decision made beyond the negotiation process and seriously undermining stability in all region.
