Vitaly Ignatyev meets delegation of Russian Institute of Strategic Studies

Tiraspol, 14 September. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovie's foreign minister Vitaly Ignatyev met a delegation of the Russian Institute of Strategic Studies (RISS). The meeting was also attended by deputy director of the RISS Tamara Guzenkova, RISS leading fellow Oleg Nemensky, RISS senior fellow Evgeny Biryukov, as well as RISS fellow Georgy Menyailo.

During the meeting the parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation between Pridnestrovie and the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies. They also discussed certain aspects of the implementation of joint projects in the academic and humanitarian spheres, in particular the RISS's cooperation with Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University. The participants paid special attention to the current socio-economic situation in Pridnestrovie, including in the context of intensified restrictive measures on the part of neighbouring states, the MFA's press service reported.

«Good and friendly relations traditionally bind Pridnestrovie and the Russian Institute of Strategic Studies. The dynamics of our interaction grows, despite the obstacles posed by the Moldovan side. I am sure we'll further continue our successful cooperation and will solve common tasks for the benefit of the Russian Federation and Pridnestrovie," said Vitaly Ignatyev.

At the end of the meeting the parties agreed to maintain cooperation on a wide range of issues of mutual interest.
