Tiraspol, August 15. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Recent visits of the delegations from the European Union and Russia and also the mayor of Novosibirsk to Pridnestrovie are very important for the republic. Prime Minister Pavel Prokudin told about it in the interview to the First Pridnestrovian TV channel.
«The fact of arrival of politicians of such level is very important it for our republic's international reputation. The OSCE Chairman-in-Office/Foreign Minister of Germany is a real player who resolves global affairs on our planet, and he comes to Tiraspol. As for the mayor of Novosibirsk, there were a lot of formal meetings too, but there were also informal ones. And these decent contacts, they sometimes, in my opinion, do more than formal diplomacy," he told.
Visit of the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin was also important for Pridnestrovie and first of all in the context of support from the Russian Federation.
«A question was asked in the Supreme Council whether Russia wanted to send Audit Chamber of the Russian Federation there. He answered that they controlled everything absolutely, urged us to calm down, and if we had any issues among each other, we can solve them. As for the Russian help, everything is under control, and they know everything. We appreciated very much his support of MFA's work in the field of small steps," the Prime Minister noted.
Pavel Prokudin emphasized that the development of relations with Russia (especially in the field of economy) could be more efficient at the regional level, but not at the federal one.
«That's why the contacts with Novosibirsk are important — it is the third city of the Russian Federation after Moscow and St. Petersburg. We already have economic contacts, we already deliver our production there, now we plan to make an exhibition sale, a fair on the central square of Novosibirsk in September," he told.
Along with that, Pridnestrovie develops cooperation with some other large Russian cities intensively. One of the most important directions is search of new outlets and expansion of the existing ones for our goods, first of all, agricultural production.
«Now, we plan to establish contacts between the city of Bendery with Arkhangelsk, we also explore some more options. And one more achievement in work of the Government during this half a year (although this work began in 2015, however it has ended and produced its material results this year) is a so-called encouragement of agricultural exporters to the Russian Federation. We have received about 350 thousand dollars from one of the contractors in the Russian Federation. I think, this process will be developed, these are real actions," Pavel Prokudin summed up.
