Tiraspol, 14 July. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The government made a unanimous decision to grant governmental support for JSC Rybnitsa Milk Factory. From now on the factory will benefit from a 50% reduction in income tax, the government's press office reports.
According to a resolution adopted by the Ministry of Economic Development, the milk factory meets all the requirements of the Regulation on procedure of governmental support provision. In particular, it produces and exports its goods.
«We expect this support will enable the factory to restore its activities and repay the existing debts," said the minister of economic development, Dmitry Boltrushko.
Back in 2015 the factory already received a substantial governmental support. An agreement was signed, but the enterprise failed to fulfil its commitments. Despite that, the government is ready to meet the factory's needs and to help it in such difficult conditions by reducing the tax burden.
«The milk factory used to be one of the biggest tax payers in the region. If the government is capable today of enabling the enterprise to launch the production, work and provide jobs, this should be certainly encouraged. But this also requires reciprocal steps on the part of the factory management," said the head of Rybnitsa District, Andrey Kirsta.
With regard to the government's unprecedented assistance to Pridnestrovian manufacturers, Pavel Prokudin emphasised: «The government do not discriminate between state-run and private enterprises. We grant assistance to all of them within the framework of legislation and based on financial performance.»
