State Duma deputy: 'Do we not really know in Russia what is going on with gas and electric power and who is accountable?'

Tiraspol, 16 April. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Today, in the course of a constituent congress of the people's deputies' union «For Unity with Russia» Kazbek Taysayev, Russia's State Duma deputy, expressed his position on Pridnestrovie's domestic policy.

He noted that the situations in Russia and Pridnestrovie are alike as there is also criticism of the head of state in Russia, although Vladimir Putin's support exceeds 80%.

«What will happen to our country if we follow the advice of those who propose us to get to him? The same situation is here. I am thankful to you. It is time to realise who is who now. Russia is facing hard times now. I'm a Communist and proud of it. And probably, I must be the first to criticise our authorities. But I want to tell you we all the way back our president's foreign policy, and the Communists are standing by his side," said Kazbek Taysayev, speaking to congress participants.

The Russian MP also added that the Russian Federation heartily support the foreign policy efforts by President Yevgeny Shevchuk.

Kazbek Taysayev had many questions to Supreme Council deputies who often criticise the president.

«I want to ask you as people's deputies. Do we not really know in Russia what is going on with gas and electric power and who is accountable? Do you think we don't know how the steel plant works, who's helping it and who instead is throwing sand in the wheels? Did we forget what was there five or ten years ago? Where and for whom did all these people, who appear on TV today, blaming the power, work? What did they do 10 years ago? We remember that, don't we? When such a person appears in front of cameras, I even don't want to mention such a person's past experience. You know perfectly well what they live for, what did they do yesterday and the day before yesterday," said the deputy.

Kazbek Taysayev also attacked a ban imposed on the broadcasting of Supreme Council sessions.

«Tell me why it was so necessary to throw journalists out of the parliament? Why can't media outlets, journalists broadcast what is going on in the parliament's chamber? Why? They can do it in our State Duma, moreover, I want to tell you that journalists and media representatives enjoy even better conditions [in the state Duma] than we, MPs, do. And I think it is right. It was said in Peter the Great's times: 'Boyars should speak in their own words to see everyone's follies'. Remember that? Maybe, this is why journalists were driven out of the chamber to conceal deputies' follies," Kazbek Taysayev addressed Pridnestrovian people's deputies.

Last week, following a heated discussion of the draft law at a parliamentary session, the speaker, Vadim Krasnoselsky, put it to vote. The majority voted for the decree after which the chairman signed it. The decree thus came immediately into effect, and cameramen, except those from the parliament's press service, were asked to leave the session chamber.
