Tiraspol, 20 January. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. At a regular plenary session of the Supreme Council, amendments to the law On excise duties were considered. The authors highlighted the necessity of this draft law as there are no norms in Pridnestrovie's current legislation obliging tobacco producers to pay excise duties. The draft law aims to create conditions for increasing the state budget's revenues.
MPs approved the bill in first reading. It is noted that by second reading parliamentarians and government representatives will have discussed the amount of excise duties.
