Tiraspol, 14 January. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Joint Control Commission (ОСС) confirmed the appointment of the Russian air attach to Moldova, Igor Dobnya, as Russia's new JCC member. His candidacy received unanimous support.
«An official of such a high status can promptly solve issues related to the activities of the Joint Peacekeeping Force and situation in the Security Zone in general," Peidnestrovie's ОСС co-chair, Oleg Belyakov, commented on this appointment.
Russia's military observer was also approved today. During an extraordinary meeting the Joint Military Command made a report on the situation in the Security Zone. It was noted that there had been no incidents in the period of the New Year's holidays.
Within the main agenda, the sides continued the discussion of issues concerning freedom of movement in the Security Zone. They took a week's time-out for holding additional consultations at the level of co-chairs.
