Pridnestrovian enterprises trading with Russia to receive extra support next year

This is the result of agreements reached with Russian partners

Tiraspol, 24 December. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Next year the country's leadership will have an additional opportunity to stimulate economic activities of a number of economic agents. As was noted by President Shevchuk during today's press conference, this refers to those who sell products to Russia's markets and were forced to sharply cut their trade volumes.

«We have reached certain agreements with our strategic partners in Russia to additionally stimulate these enterprises in January. We hope that there will be some progress in 2016 if, I must specify, there are no more non-tariff regulation issues, such as railway transportation, certificates, approval documents, that may prevent Pridnestrovian manufacturers from exporting their goods to Russian markets," said the president.

According to him, a key risk for our economy is unclear export/import rules. Constantly changing requirements make the work of our businesses unstable.

«It is necessary to realise that risks cost money and must be offset somehow. Today we cannot be sure which trade regimes our economic agents will deal with regarding such an unstable factor as crossing borders. The lack of information about stable possibilities of functioning in foreign markets is a global problem for Pridnestrovie," said Yevgeny Shevchuk.

The head of state underscored that, according to experts, the year of 2016 would be more difficult for Pridnestrovie than 2015.

«It is important to understand that the number of problems rise and the resources are scarce. We cannot solve 80% of problems by using only 20% of resources. Therefore, 2016 will show the necessity of taking additional measures to stabilise the country's economic situation and support our economic agents," said the president.
