Offshore duty brings 373.000 roubles to budget revenues

These data were presented by Maya Parnas during a meeting with President Yevgeny Shevchuk

According to the latest data, about 373.000 roubles have been paid as an offshore duty so far.

«This is only the amount received from the payment of tax duty imposed on the goods imported from offshore territories. Besides, we have launched the procedure concerning financial transactions for the work and services," said Maya Parnas.

It was noted at the meeting that the introduction of the offshore duty is necessary as a stable funding source for social payments. Special duty revenues will be directly allocated for the payment of pensions and salaries to public sector employees, the presidential press office reports.

The mechanism of offshore duty collection has been elaborated and introduced with governmental decrees following the president's instruction. Prior to that, the corresponding bill was twice submitted to the Supreme Council, but was rejected by MPs. The 2015 budget was approved by the parliament with a deficit of 50 million roubles on social items, but without repayment sources.
