Yevgeny Shevchuk: Pridnestrovie is admittedly in blockade

President notes the growing pressure against Pridnestrovie from Kishinev and Kiev

On air of Russia 24 TV channel, President Yevgeny Shevchuk declared that, due to the Ukraine situation and the decisions of the Moldovan authorities, the Pridnestrovie's economic potential is restricted.

According to the Head of state, Pridnestrovie experiences military and info pressure.

«We experience growing pressure against Pridnestrovie from Kishinev and Kiev in the economic and information fields, and de facto in military field, as these states concentrate additional forces along the borders," the President told.

Touching the situation with the peacekeeping forces divisions, Yevgeny Shevchuk noted that such actions, concerning the transportation ban on military equipment and other means to the Pridnestrovie's territory, are aimed, first of all, to undermine the peacekeeping operation in general.

The President emphasizes that these actions are nothing new. Such statements appear in Kishinev which itself blockades the sessions of the Joint Control Commission.

«Ukraine, on the other hand, blockades the delivery of all things necessary. Of course, the limited contingent of troops together with the peacekeepers, as well as entire Pridnestrovie, put it that way, is in such unfriendly political environment today. As for the food, Pridnestrovie is an agricultural state. There's enough food. Certainly, we will share it with our colleagues," Yevgeny Shevchuk summarized.
