Russia won't leave Pridnestrovie, despite the denunciation of certain agreements on military cooperation with the Russian Federation by Ukraine, the head of the State Duma Defence Committee Vladimir Komoyedov declared on Thursday, May 21.
«How shall we act? We need to think and look for the ways. We may not leave Pridnestrovie and Moldova," Komoyedov told to Interfax. At the same time, any response steps shouldn't be taken yet, he considers.
«Tolerance is patience, equality. Probably, we will be tolerant enough at this point," the Defense Committee head told.
He admits that they will probably reach an agreement with the Ukrainian authorities and find some ways.
As Novosti Pridnestrvya reported, today the Verkhovna Rada denounced the agreement of 1995 concerning the Russian military transit to Pridnestrovie through the Ukraine territory by a majority vote.
