The first three positions in the World Economic Forum ranking are occupied by Spain, France and Germany. Romania and Russia are ranked 66 and 45, respectively, but Moldova is only 111.
The ranking was compiled with regard to such indicators as health and hygiene (one of Moldova's highest positions — 22), travel and tourism resources (natural and cultural attractions, 139 and 135, respectively), international hospitality (123), infrastructure (106), business environment (115), prioritization of travel and tourism (114), etc.
On the whole, according to Infotag, despite rather high assessment of the level of security (64) and price competitiveness in the tourism industry (64), Moldova is still unattractive for tourists.
