Pridnestrovie's President: Pridnestrovie doesn't pose military threat and it is not going to attack anybody

However, taking into account the developing situation, Pridnestrovie's state authorities have to pay more attention to safety issues during the year

The Head of State declared it at a meeting with representatives of different fields from the cities and regions of the republic.

«We have incidents showing the escalation of tensions. Big amount of Ukraine armed forces and national guard are located very close to our border. The fact of their concentration is a demonstration, to put it mildly, of unfriendly intentions," Evgeny Shevchuk noted.

As the President's Press Office reports, the Head of State hoped that Kishinev wouldn't choose the way of confrontation as in 1992, and that Ukraine, unfortunately suffering from the civil war, would also draw conclusions that there was no need to heat up the conflict.»

«Hopefully, our partners in Kiev and Kishinev understand that, even having more powerful army and resources, negative actions will lead to negative result. If you make war with a nation, whatever army you have, you will be defeated sooner or later," Evgeny Shevchuk noted.

According to him, Pridnestrovie doesn't pose military threat and it is not going to attack anybody. But, taking into account the developing situation, Pridnestrovie's state authorities have to pay more attention to safety issues and concentrate the resources in this direction during the year.

«We will continue keeping the high level of military preparedness. Although, our state is small, I recommend not to come here with the weapon," the Head of State emphasized. «I hope that most leaders of Ukraine and Moldova are clever people. It is impossible to gain glory or victory through evil.»
