The chairman of the Russia's Federation Council Foreign Affairs Committee Konstantin Kosachev declared that his state would maintain stability in Pridnsestrovie and would prevent the region’s blockade
“If it is necessary, we will airdrop. The possibility of the Pridnsestrovie’s blockade and turning our backs on those who trusted us is absolutely inadmissible for Russia. We will try to raise this blockade through the political arrangements,” Kosachev told.
Taking the floor in the Saturday TV program “The right to know!” broadcasted by the Russian TVC channel, he noted: “Russia needs to keep this region stabe with all costs. We must prevent bringing down these people and imposing the unfavourable settlement plan of their opponents submitting them to agree.”
Konstantin Kosachev answered the TV host's question whether Pridnsestrovie could become “the second Crimea” and declared that he standed for the searching of solutions providing the region’s present status.
“There is also geography question besides the politics. If we venture to choose the alternative of the Pridnestrovie's integration as our broken-off territory, the whole world or the most part of its countries will disturb us in such case. Also, this would be the hardest plan not only for Russia, but first of all it would be the severest situation for Pridnsestrovie,” he concluded.
