Dmitriy Rogozin: Russia to continue support of Pridnestrovie

Russia as a guarantor state and mediator in the process of the Pridnestrovian settlement continues its steady support of Pridnestrovie, said Dmitriy Rogozin, a deputy chairman of the government of the Russian Federation and the Russian president's special envoy on Pridnestrovie

"We all see what is going on in the neighbouring Ukraine, what political forces have come to power there. Under such circumstances Russia as a guarantor state and mediator in the process of the Pridnestrovian settlement continues its steady support of Pridnestrovie, first of all, in the sphere humanitarian rights: the right to life, human and national dignity," said Dmitriy Rogozin during a meeting with Pridnestrovian President Yevgeny Shevchuk in the Russian Government House. Besides, Russia would continue supporting the Russian citizens residing in Pridnestrovie, he underscored.

"Under the coordination of Russia's ministry of foreign affairs, Russian and Pridnestrovian ministries work towards the signing of inter-agency agreements on direct contacts and cooperation. The aim is to contribute to the cooperation in social, economic, humanitarian, cultural, scientific and educational spheres," RIA Novosti quotes Dmitriy Rogozin’s commentary on the importance of inter-agency cooperation memorandums.
