Tiraspol, February, 18. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. On February 18, 2019, the head of the PMR Official Representation in Moscow, Leonid Manakov, met with Russian lawyers - members of the International Council of Russian Compatriots. The topic of the discussion was the need to broadly inform Russian Federation business community about the economic benefits offered to foreign investors by Pridnestrovian legislation.
The press service of the Foreign Ministry reports that during the discussion the experts stressed that that day Russian business had a keen interest in Pridnestrovie, but it was difficult for entrepreneurs to find structured information about the regulatory framework of the republic.
“Grouping information in one place and bringing the whole range of Russian-Pridnestrovian opportunities to interested persons are at the core of our mission” - Valery Vanin, a member of the Moscow Bar Association said.
According to Valery Vanin, the International Council of Russian Compatriots (ICRC) could undertake that task, so there is no need to create any new structures and invest in them. All information can be placed on the ICRC website.
“Today, being legal entities, citizens do not always understand whom they could turn to in order to deal with the problem that had arisen” - Valery Vanin explained. “We as an interested party could advise on these issues on a voluntary basis” - he stressed.
As a next step, experts noted the stimulation of business activity of the parties - today such a policy in the field of cryptocurrency is pursued by the Belarusian authorities. The content may be different, but the business, financial and political communities of Russia should be aware of the Pridnestrovian legislation advantages, and the opportunities it offers.
“Today in Russia there is very little information about the advantages of the legislation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. This imbalance must be changed as soon as possible. Experts should see a partnership perspective, for example, in the implementation of international payments in the event of stricter sanctions pressure on Russia. Today, IT-technology, together with finance is a very powerful economic and political factor. Pridnestrovie can seriously work in this direction” - Valery Vanin stated.
In his turn, the head of the Official Representation, Leonid Manakov, noted that Pridnestrovie adopted the Republic's Development Strategy for 2019-2026, which laid down the basic principles for the economy, culture and public spaces modernization. According to him, the document records the development of communications as one of the provisions of the Strategy.
“I believe that we need to create a clear and understandable program of interaction. Our goal is to satisfy the need that exists for a certain part of Russian and Pridnestrovian society in a fair manner” - Leonid Manakov emphasized.
