Tiraspol, February, 11. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Pridnestrovian diplomacy showed a high intensity of work within the negotiation process with Moldova in 2018. The number of meetings of expert (workers) groups and subgroups and also meetings of representatives on political affairs of the parties increased in 3 times. In comparison with 2017, the total number of international meetings also grew by a quarter. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev said about it, making the report on the activity of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR.
Speaking about the relationship with the Republic of Moldova, the Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that for the first time for many years thanks to efforts and the active involvement into negotiations of the international participants of the 5+2 format the Moldavian side took some steps for implementation to the legislation of a number of agreements. In particular, on apostilization of the Pridnestrovian diplomas about the higher education, transport and telecommunications.
«Fixing of the social, economic and humanitarian agenda as a basic priority in settlement became an important result of work in this direction set by the Pridnestrovian initiatives that are completely supported by the international negotiators», – the Foreign Minister of the PMR paid attention.
Special efforts of diplomats last year were directed to minimization of controls from the Moldo-Ukrainian customs border control in Kuchurgan creating a potential obstacle to import of freights to Pridnestrovie.
«I consider essentially important, first, recognition of the existence of this problem not only the international participants but as a result and Chisinau. Secondly, the inclusion of this question in different levels of negotiation process and beginning of sectoral work of profile expert groups. As a result, the introduction of the second phase of control in Kuchurgan is postponed. Today within expert groups on the economy, health care, customs interaction, agricultural industry experts look for an optimal solution of this problem», - Vitaly Ignatiev noted.
The MFA also controls the implementation of already reached agreements with Moldova. The end is put to a discussion concerning lands in the Dubossary district and schools with teaching on the basis of Latin graphics. Relevant in the diplomatic season are problems of telecommunications and closing of politically motivated criminal cases. Also, the possibility of full use of the automobile bridge near the village the Bicioc and movements of vehicles with loading capacity up to 25 tons is studied (and in need of an up to 40 tons).
The Foreign Minister paid attention to the growth of the international interest in a position of Pridnestrovie, to the Pridnestrovian vision of the current processes and the prospects of settlement.
«The nature of communication with the international partners speaks about understanding that in fact the existing base of political and legal arguments completely proves the legitimacy of wide international recognition of Pridnestrovie. It does not have other real viable alternatives. The solution of a task comes down to simple equality with two knowns: the independence of Pridnestrovie which developed for last years de facto needs to be fixed at the international level according to the will of the Pridnestrovian people», – the diplomat said.
According to Ignatiev, presidency of Slovakia in OSCE in the current year allows to study more deeply classical model of a civilized divorce of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and transition of presidency in 2020 to Albania «gives a good chance in details to analyse the Albania-Kosovo interstate relations and a case of recognition of Kosovo in general».
In conclusion of the report, the Minister emphasized that the next years the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue «active multilevel work on a finding of the international recognition as one of the key bases of the national idea of Pridnestrovie formulated by the Head of the state».
The Head of the state who was at a meeting of board highly appreciated the work of the MFA and level of interaction with other ministries and departments. Besides the main activities of the Foreign Ministry, Vadim Krasnoselsky focused attention on continuation of publishing work, having designated that creators of two new museum expositions need assistance of the Pridnestrovian diplomats today – Scythian culture (it will be placed in showroom of the Aleksandro-Nevsky Park) and the victims of political repressions (a powder cellar in the territory of the Tiraspol Fortress).
On the occasion of a professional holiday, the President handed medals and thank you notes to the staff of the MFA of the PMR.
