Ukraine's authorities «have betrayed their own citizens residing in Pridnestrovie» and «brought to naught the possibility of the removal of Russian ammunition» from Pridnestrovie. This was declared by the Russian vice premier and the president's special envoy on Pridnestrovie, Dmitri Rogozin, in an interview with Kommersant when commenting on Ukraine's parliament denouncing the agreement on transit of the Russian military to our country.
«Ukraine's authorities have betrayed no fewer than 60,000 of their own citizens residing in Pridnestrovie. Now Russia will protect them. Russia's ministry of defence 'was prepared for this succession of events, in advance working out ways out of the situation," said Dmitri Rogozin to Kommersant.
According to him, the denunciation of the agreement will in no way affect the everyday provision of the peacekeepers.
«We are going to buy food from local suppliers. Under these circumstances Kiev is bringing to naught the possibility of the removal of Russian ammunition from Pridnestrovie," concluded the Russian vice premier.
It should be recalled that last week Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada denounced at once five military cooperation agreements with Russia, including the agreement on transit of the Russian military to Pridnestrovie.
