The PMR President called on the Moldovan authorities to think about the people and work on the gas supplies problem

Vadim Krasnoselsky reminded that the supply of electricity to Moldova depends on the blue fuel supply

Tiraspol, December 11. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovie has always been a reliable electricity supplier to Moldova and must remain so, PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky said at an extraordinary plenary of the Supreme Council on the issue of introducing a state of emergency in Pridnestrovie.

According to him, in the event of no gas supplies to the PMR from January 1, 2025, someone should think about the citizens of Moldova.

"Everyone should understand that we will have a very difficult situation in the event of absence of natural gas. At the same time, we have always been and are a guaranteed supplier of electricity to the territory of Moldova. High-quality, competitive, constant and stable. You see? Someone should think about this too - about the citizens of Moldova permanently residing in this state," Vadim Krasnoselsky said.

The President emphasized that there is no need to speculate on this topic, but the problem should be solved without blaming certain states. Moreover, according to Vadim Krasnoselsky, neither Russia nor Ukraine want to hinder the supply of natural gas to Pridnestrovie.

Let us recall that a state of emergency in the economy has been introduced in Pridnestrovie for 30 days. The corresponding Decree was signed by the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky, and today the document was approved by the Supreme Council. The need to declare a special legal regime is due to the possible reduction or termination of natural gas supplies to Pridnestrovie from January 1, 2025. The Decree provides for the rationalization of natural gas consumption; the creation of a state reserve of energy resources; a ban on the export of energy resources, except for electricity, if gas supplies are maintained; the preservation of life and health of people will be a priority.
