Tiraspol, January 11. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie has been carrying out intensive work so that there are no restrictions on the import of food products into the republic. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev spoke about this in an interview with the First Pridnestrovian TV channel.
He recalled that at the end of 2022, a shipment of sea fish destined for the PMR was detained at the Moldovan customs in Leuseni. Representatives of the Moldovan Food Safety Agency (ANSA) then refused to recognize Lithuanian and Spanish product certificates.
“Unfortunately, this shipment is still in a problem mode,” Vitaly Ignatiev noted.
The problem with the blocking of various goods for Pridnestrovie at the Moldovan customs has arisen since the beginning of last year. The restrictions affected medicines, agricultural chemistry, and then food. Thus, shipments of buckwheat and flour from a Russian manufacturer were detained. Some shipments were only passed through after additional tests and analyzes, which the Moldovan side demanded.
