Tiraspol, June 28. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. As part of a working trip to the capital of the Russian Federation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev met with the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vitaly Tryapitsyn.
During the conversation, a wide range of topical issues within the framework of the settlement of relations between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova were discussed in detail. In this context, the parties spoke in favor of the strict implementation of the agreements within the framework of the Berlin + package, as well as the intensification of the dialogue at all levels of the negotiating structure, including holding of the Permanent Meeting ... without any preconditions in the 5 + 2 format in accordance with the Principles and Procedures of the Negotiation Process.
As a follow-up to the discussion, the diplomats expressed concern about the recent provocations of one of the political forces of the Republic of Moldova in the Security Zone, the press service of the PMR Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports. As Vitaly Ignatiev noted, those actions at the checkpoints of Pridnestrovie have created problems in terms of people`s freedom of movement and were accompanied by threats to the representatives of the Pridnestrovian law enforcement agencies.
The Head of the Foreign Ministry announced that an appeal was sent to the Moldovan side and all international participants in the negotiation process about the inadmissibility of such actions, which could lead to violation of Pridnestrovians` rights and escalating tensions in the Security Zone.
During the meeting, the interlocutors also paid attention to certain aspects concerning the Russian-Pridnestrovian cooperation development and the functioning of the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester.
At the end of the conversation, mutual interest was expressed in continuing systemic communication across the entire spectrum of topical areas of bilateral interaction.
