Vadim Krasnoselsky met with the British Ambassador

The PMR President at the site of the presidential executive office met with delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Her Majesty the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova. Vadim Krasnoselsky and Steven Fischer communicated three times this year. The current visit of the British diplomat is associated, among other things, with the supply of humanitarian aid to Pridnestrovie – means of individual protection, necessary in the fight against coronavirus. Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude for the support, noting that the decision to send humanitarian aid to Pridnestrovians is, in fact, Steven Fischer's personal contribution to the struggle of Pridnestrovians against the infection’s spread, and therefore struggle for the lives of people. The diplomat, in turn, noted that the brought protective equipment is not only practical help, but also a symbol of involvement and support from the British Embassy. The interlocutors discussed the measures taken to counter the pandemic, both in Pridnestrovie and the UK, and in the world in general.

They spoke today about the state of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. The format of the "Permanent meeting ..." is not gathered, the working groups are idle, the commitments previously taken by Chisinau are not being fulfilled, stated Vadim Krasnoselsky. The dialogue is further complicated by the electoral processes in Moldova and the pandemic factor. Consistent work within the framework of the current negotiating agenda should not stop under any circumstances, the PMR President outlined the invariable position of Pridnestrovie. The meeting participants exchanged views on a wide range of issues related to the work of the "5 + 2" format, as well as interaction through the British Embassy, having agreed to continue to maintain working contacts.
