Tiraspol, January 31./Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Seven figure skaters from Tiraspol took part in the Lviv Region Open Figure Skating Championship. Five of them brought home the awards.
Pridnestrovian athletes competed with skaters from Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova. Tiraspol skaters brought three gold, one silver and one bronze medals.
As the trainer of the Figure Skating Group Olga Churbanova noted, in two months skaters plan to go to the completions in Kharkiv.
Figure skating classes in Tiraspol have been held for 11 years on the Snezhinka skating rink. Now Olga Churbanova trains 12 pupils. Sergey Trofimov taking the second place at competitions in Lviv is the only boy in the group. In 10 years figure skaters from Tiraspol have won 50 different medals at competitions in Slovakia, Ukraine, Poland, Baltic countries, Belarus and Russia.
