Representatives of the American Embassy arrived in Tiraspol. The delegation was headed by the US Chargé d'Affaires in the Republic of Moldova Kevin Covert. The visitors were received by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky. The meeting was held at the presidential executive office. The PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev was invited to the conversation. The interlocutors exchanged greetings and congratulations on the upcoming holidays. They indicated their readiness for an open dialogue. The topics were: the state of the negotiation process and current problems of its settlement, possible energy crisis – the desire to prevent and take measures to minimize the scale and consequences, as well as the life of the Pridnestrovian society in general. Kevin Covert noted that this is his first time in Pridnestrovie and he is trying to learn the situation from the inside.
An exchange of views took place on a wide range of issues. The meeting participants agreed to continue interaction in a working manner.
