Tiraspol, December 23. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The PMR Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not have information about any changes regarding the passage of vehicles with Pridnestrovian registration to Ukraine.
This was stated in an interview to Novosti Pridnestrovya by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR, Alexander Stetsyuk.
“Through the channels of official interaction with our colleagues in the negotiation process throughout the year and over the last period of time, we did not receive any signals that the Ukrainian side could somehow tighten the travel of vehicles registered in Pridnestrovie,” the diplomat said.
He noted that he estimated such rumors as creating unnecessary artificial anxiety and intimidation of the Pridnestrovian population.
“The purpose of such rumors is to create prerequisites for changing the subject of our dialogue in the framework of the negotiation process,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.
The PMR Foreign Ministry expects to continue the dialogue with Moldova on all matters of road transport.
“We hope that the domestic political situation in Chisinau will stabilize, and we will continue a substantive discussion around the whole sector on road transport topics,” Alexander Stetsyuk added.
Earlier, there appeared a series of fibs in social networks that from January 1, 2020, Ukraine would prohibit the passage of cars with Pridnestrovian license plates.
