Presidential inspection of the capital's Memorial of Glory

The PMR President visited the capital's Memorial of Glory today. The President discussed the reconstruction with the head of the Tiraspol state administration. The facility is not only being renovated, but also filled with new elements. Information and artistic plaques have already been installed – horizontal and vertical. The names of Tiraspol residents who died during the Great Patriotic War on various fronts have been carved on the canvases on the instructions of the President. Six sectors are ready. The central one, the seventh will be a monument to the Unknown Soldier with a real burial in fact. The remains will be transferred on April 12, 2025 – the day of the liberation of Tiraspol from the Nazi invaders. It will repeat the monument erected in Moscow on Poklonnaya Hill as for the design.

The officials discussed the renovation of the Eternal Flame bowl. The old tiles have been dismantled there. They will be replaced by granite – red, black and brown. The slab where flowers and wreaths are traditionally laid will also be replaced. The new one will have the inscription "In Memory of the Defenders of the Fatherland". The words "Your name is unknown. Your feat is immortal" that are priceless for every Pridnestrovian will not disappear from the memorial slabs, but will be carved on the canvas near the monument to the Unknown Soldier.
