Pridnestrovie is extremely concerned about the growing militarization of Moldova

Despite its neutral status, Moldova has become part of the NATO system in the region

Tiraspol, September 3. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The militarization of Moldova is causing extreme concern in Pridnestrovie. This was reported in an interview with the Russia 24 TV channel by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR, Vitaly Ignatiev.

"We see that Moldova is being actively armed: various types of weapons, armored vehicles are being supplied, the European Peace Fund is allocating money to buy weapons. It is clear that all these actions are geopolitical in nature. We are extremely concerned about this, since Moldova is in a state of unresolved conflict with Pridnestrovie, and the only factor of peace and stability is the Peacekeeping Operation on the banks of the Dniester, which maintains peace in these conditions," Ignatiev said.

According to the head of the foreign policy department of Pridnestrovie, Moldova has effectively become part of the NATO security system in the region. There are comprehensive plans for interaction, and exercises are held regularly – 18 exercises were held in Moldova last year, and there may be even more this year.
