The Moldovan authorities also called the murder of Pridnestrovians in 1992 “establishment of constitutional order” - PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky commented on the statements of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova about drawing Pridnestrovie into the “constitutional field of Moldova.”
“I want to remind Mr. Popshoy and his colleagues that they tried to establish the so-called constitutional order in 1992 by invading Pridnestrovie and killing Pridnestrovian people. Who was responsible for this, for the fact that women, old people and children were killed here?” – Vadim Krasnoselsky said.
The President of the PMR recalled that the Declaration of Independence of Moldova recognized the creation of the Moldavian SSR as illegal, thereby Chisinau legally abandoned Pridnestrovie. The MSSR was created by the leadership of the USSR from the territories of Bessarabia and the first republic in Pridnestrovie (MASSR, 1924-1940).
Vadim Krasnoselsky recommended the Moldovan authorities to study history better and bring their Constitution into line with the Declaration of Independence.
“There is no need to invent anything regarding Pridnestrovie. The fate of Pridnestrovie will be decided only by the Pridnestrovian people, no one else. All other attempts are the path to escalation of the conflict,” - the President of the PMR emphasized.
