The PMR President met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova. The working discussion was preceded by congratulations. Oleg Vasnetsov celebrated his 70th birthday today. Vadim Krasnoselsky, welcoming the hero of the day, noted his services in the diplomatic field in general and in strengthening and developing Pridnestrovian-Russian relations in particular. The PMR President considers the post held by the birthday person responsible, and the tasks facing the ambassador as significant for preserving the peace and security of Pridnestrovians, regardless of their Russian citizenship. The PMR President noted the high level of constructive interaction and mutual understanding with the Russian ambassador, emphasizing that his diplomatic mission is being carried out in a difficult historical period. Vadim Krasnoselsky focused on the participation of the embassy and Oleg Vasnetsov personally in the negotiation process, the work of the “5+2” format, and peacekeeping mechanisms. The President noted that he highly appreciates not only the business, but also the personal qualities of the hero of the day.

Oleg Vasnetsov, thanking Vadim Krasnoselsky for his congratulations, noted in turn that he welcomed the regularity of contacts and openness of dialogue. The diplomat expressed his readiness to discuss current issues. The interlocutors outlined a common desire for peace and security.
