The President's family stands for a healthy lifestyle and actively supports any undertakings related to maintaining health, developing physical culture, and attracting citizens to mass sports. One of the presidential initiatives is the regatta, in which teams of state bodies, ministries, departments, organizations, and educational institutions take part. More than four dozen teams competed for the Dragon Cup this year. The event was held at the rowing base in Tiraspol. They competed for two days. The winners in all groups were determined today.
The strongest out of the law enforcement agencies this time are the military personnel of the PMR Ministry of Defense. Agroprombank won in the group of enterprises and institutions. The student bloc was headed by students of the Olympic Reserve School. The pupil of Suvorov Military College team overtook their rivals among the youngest rowers.
The leadership in the race of civilian departments was retained by the team of the Administration of the PMR President. The President with his wife did not take part in the regatta this year. Svetlana and Vadim Krasnoselsky supported the team on the shore. Addressing the athletes before the final start, the President aimed not to lower the oars and not to give up until the finish line, no matter how the distance progressed. Svetlana Krasnoselskaya supported the wish, "Let the wings carry you forward". The team of the Presidential Administration in the decisive group run outstripped the sportsmen of the Pridnestrovian Government Apparatus, and then did the impossible as it seemed to many people: they overtook not only the APB, but also the strongest crew of the power unit in the super-final.
The Administration of the President of the PMR is the owner of the Super Cup of the regatta "The President's Family for Healthy Lifestyle" - 2023.
Congratulating the participants and winners of the competition, Vadim Krasnoselsky called the two-day regatta a celebration of sports, which was preceded by serious preparatory work. The President drew attention to the newcomers of the regatta, stressing that the debut was very successful for many. The PMR President singled out the Vernissage team, which trained and competed on an equal basis with colleagues and people with special needs.
Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the enthusiasm for rowing among the population is growing. The infrastructure of rowing bases is improving. 10 new kayaks were handed over to sports schools – two in each city cultivating this sport.
Svetlana and Vadim Krasnoselsky presented awards to the participants and winners of the regatta.
Gratitude was expressed to all the services involved in organizing and holding the event, as well as to active fans.
The Head of the State Council for Sports Vyacheslav Sokolenko was awarded the Order of Merit for the Development of Sports.
The presidential regatta-2023 is over. Preparations for the regatta-2024 were started.
